Contributor Submission Guidelines
What are we looking for in submissions?
We are interested in publishing original works by creatives. This is not an “academic” publication and we're more concerned with the messages and stories that want to be told than “puff” pieces or listicles. We encourage pieces that look different than straight-up narrative — images, art, etc. Just remember to add any context necessary for readers to understand the piece.
We are looking for submissions that are coherently written, proofread, and are between 750-2500 words. Look through our archive of The Augurly to see what kind of articles we've published previously.
We prefer previously unpublished pieces however, if you've published the piece on your own platform or the piece is older than a month, we will still consider it for publication.
